Using google drive
As you all know the Google drive iOS app has the facility to backup all your iPhone data in to the Google drive which is great. Calendar, photos and contacts can be backed up. The contacts in your Apple will be saved in your Google account if you enable the Google drives backup feature. So now on your Android device you have to get the same Google account and enable the sync feature. Now all the contacts from your iPhone will show in your Android device. By heading to contacts.google.com also you will be able to view the contacts.
Note: The contacts of your iPhone are backed up by your Google drive and gets linked to the google contacts.
Now lets move into the steps:
On your iPhone download the Google drive app.
Open the google drive app and head to the left side bar and now click ‘Settings’.
Next hit ‘backup’.
Click contacts and you will be headed to another screen. Next to Google contact backup you will see the toggle button. Enable it.
Now head back and click the calendar events and photos & videos. Now beside this settings you will find toggle. Enabled the toggle and click start backup. Now the backup will start working so wait until it is done.
Next take your android phone and head to Setting > Accounts. Click the add account tab. Now you have to add that same backup contact account you created earlier.
The contacts will now be visible on your android phone by automatically syncing. If you don’t see the contacts then head to your google account under settings and then account. Now click sync account.
Beside to contacts you will see toggle button, enable it. We are done with the settings. Now you will see your apple contacts.
Note: Please be noted that the contacts merged from your iPhone to android is only a one-time process. This method won’t keep your iPhone contacts synced with your android device. To keep it synced you have to add a google account, so head to iPhone Settings > Contacts > Accounts. Then under Gmail account enable the contact.
Using third party apps
Now you will be headed to a screen. In that tap backup button.
Now click email option and enter the intended email address which you want to send the file to. Make sure you enter an email address that you use on your android device and send the email to the address. Now the VCF file will instantly get attached to the email.
Then go to you android and open the mail that you sent. Next download the contact file to your phone. it will be successfully saved on your phone.
Import contacts from VCF file
On your android device head to the contacts app. Please not that the steps would differ according to the contacts app you have. Here we have mentioned about the Google contact app as an example. Head to Google contact app and at the top click the three-bar icon. Now chose Settings.
Tap import by scrolling down. Now chose the VCF file. Now you will be told to open VCF file depending from where you want to import the contacts from. Head to the file that you downloaded. Now your iPhone contacts will be transferred to your Android device.
Pro tips: If you are using a Samsung phone then open contacts. Next tap the three-dot icon bar and chose manage contacts. Then go to import or export contacts. Select the VCF file that was sent from your iPhone by selecting import.
Contact backup share & export
This app will give you enough freedom to choose the way you want to transfer the VCF file to your android device which is nothing like the above method. There are certain easy methods you can follow such as sending it to your mail ID, uploading it to your drop box or google drive, you can also send through chat apps or use file sharing apps to share it. Please note that the step of importing it into your android device is not different to the above method. So, you can follow the same.
When you scroll down you will see export button, tap it. Now select share locally option.
You will now be asked the method for sending the file and you can select which ever method you prefer. You can use your email to send the file or chose to send through any messaging app that supports file sharing such as WhatsApp. You can also head to your file app and save the VCF in your iPhone so that you can send it to your android phone later.
Now its time for you to download the VCF file in your android phone that was sent. Next take a look at the VCF file section mentioned above and follow the method under import contacts. We are done with the steps. Head to the Contacts app that was sent to you from your iPhone and select the VCF file under import option.
You can choose the method of sending your file to your Android device by tapping on the export contact screen.

Next to download click VCF file and then the file should be imported to the contacts once the download is done.
